I met my partner here at gaylonghair.com, in March of '05. His name is Even('Eve') Zzyzzx, originally from Riverside, CA. In Sept. of '05, the happy decision was made by him and his 4 cats to move up to San Francisco to live with me in my rent-controlled apartment... and we've been having fun here all together ever since! Ever since I can remember, I was strongly attracted to long hair on guys, and had a deep, burning desire (and I do mean BURNING!) to someday have long hair myself. Growing up in a midwestern conservative household with a militaristic father, I was unable to grow my hair out even 'long-ISH' until I left home to be on my own, at age 18. Even then, due to job regulations + other constraints, I was unable to achieve ponytail-length until my 40th birthday. Seven years later, in Y2K, I impulsively cut my then waist-length hair off (thinking I was 'ready'). Needless to say, that experience taught me the hard way that I had to make a COMMITMENT to having long hair. Never again will I have my hair short, unless under circumstances that are beyond my control. I want it as long as I can possibly grow it!!! Besides being absolutely ga-ga over long hair on guys, I'm also very fond of facial hair. This can be true even if the guy has short hair, --- like many of the cute cowboys I get to dance with! Of course, a sweet disposition, great sense of humor, and flawless manners melt me even more!! Professionally, I'm a maintenance gardener, specializing in organic rose care. I'm nuts over the old heirloom roses, the newer David Austin 'English' roses, the big arching climbers, and the graceful + healthy new shrub roses. I like to grow them with classic companion plants like Lavender, Nepeta, Foxglove, or Clematis. I have an addiction I'm willing to confess to: I love to go to my local gay C+W saloon; to hit the dance floor and not leave until I get my 'fix', --- either that, or closing time! Whether 2-Step, Swing, or Salsa, it's partner dancing that turns me on. Nothing more wonderful than holding another man in your arms and swaying to great tunes! I also enjoy some non-partner dancing, such as an occasional line dance or 2 or, more recently, learning some Clogging! Any free time left is spent in the great outdoors. With California's North Coast + Redwood Country nearby, it ain't far to 'Paradise'! And with my recent discovery of the joys of digital photography, I'm happy to share my pics with any who ask.
