While our ten years together did not end well in the early 2000's, I never stopped loving Nate, so his suicide a couple of weeks ago has left me pretty devastated. In fact I just got out of the ICU because my heart began to act up again.
In our time together, eight years of the relationship were magnificent. He embodied some of the finest free-spirit qualities of long haired men and I loved him even more for this. he helped me to free myself.
My debt to him can never be repaid because he led me, though intentionally or not, to a very happy life in my 40's.
